Johasine hanet
This is a rose from my lovely friend Christina. We have been waiting all year for it to bloom. Unfortunately its first bloom has a vegetative center. For those who do not know what that is it. this happens when the plant starts to grow another bloom inside of the one that is blooming. I am pretty confident I over fertilized and thus a green center. My friend Christina writes a lovely a blog called Organic Dreams. She gardens one hundred percent organic and even has worms for composting. I have a link in my side bar.

How can i even describe this magnificant rose. Its blooms are the perfect shade yellow. They are very large and full of petals. The smell is a fresh citrus smell. This is such a large bush i had to go on my neighbors side of the fence to capture a picture. You can even see the house tiles behind it. David Austin you are such a genius.
